Møt Sarah. Hun spiller fagott - som er et utrydningstruet instrument. Fagotten har ført Sarah rundt halve jordkloden, helt fra Australia til Trondheim. Nå jobber hun aktivt for å øke interessen for fagott hos barn og ungdom, og skape et miljø for instrumentet. Sarah er ett av menneskene bak #mektigemusikkopplevelser

Møt Aaron. Han tar sjanser i livet, det har blant annet ført til at han nå spiller kontrabass, og at han har endt opp i Trondheim og TSO. Ifølge Aaron har han vært heldig. Vi synes vi er de heldige, som har ham hos oss. Aaron er et av menneskene bak #mektigemusikkopplevelser

Møt Tonje. Hun er sanger i Trondheim Vokalensemble, Trondheims eneste profesjonelle sangensemble. I tillegg til sine egne prosjekter er de et av de faste korene i Nidarosdomen / Nidaros Cathedral, og de er en del av vår satsning på opera. Tonje er ett av menneskene bak #mektigemusikkopplevelser

Møt Torleif, han er cellist hos oss, og en dedikert kajakkpadler. Til tross for sitt svenske opphav, er han tidligere Norgesmester i eskimorulle, og han har bygget sin egen kajakk etter inuittenes prinsipper. I bunnen for både musikken og kajakkinteressen ligger en enorm respekt og interesse for håndtverket og en grundighet i utøvelsen. Torleif er ett av menneskene bak #mektigemusikkopplevelser

Møt Frøydis. Hun kombinerer jobben som bratsjist i TSO med livet som gårdbruker. Det kan hun gjøre grunnet en fleksibel arbeidsdag med mye personlig ansvar på hver musiker. Orkesteret møtes hver ukedag i konsertuken for å øve sammen, og inntil da må hver enkelt musiker ha lært seg sin stemme - hvor de vil og når de vil. Og konsertuke er det omtrent hver uke i sesongen. What's with the eight performers with the race car headrests?
Those are "noise-cancelling headsets" so they don't have to get the brass section's sound directly in their ears while still hearing everything else.

That depends on the audience - but generally there is a minimum and an optimal number of violins on stage, depending on the music.

@@teekey1754 There is no right or wrong answer here. Wagner calls for a large orchestra, and he has specified 16 1st violins and 16 2nd violins in his score. Here we have 13 1st violins and 12 2nd violins. For the homogenity in the group, you might not notice one less violin, but for the balance with the other instruments, you might start to notice. The acoustics of the room you are in will also influence the sound.
